Our July meeting was Shot(put) Through The Heart, the Buns & Roses pentathlon.
We had seven teams, each representing a different country, and five events:
Confectionery
Shotput - Landing cherries on a cream cake
Embroidery
Hoopla - Throwing embroidery hoops over button jars
Race for
Tea - Tea cup and saucer race
Needle
Sprint - Knit as many rows as you can in five minutes
The Cake
Balance - Sing Jerusalem while balancing a cupcake on your head
It was great fun and quite challenging, with a healthy dose of friendly rivalry!
Thanks to all who took part and congratulations to the winners. Japan was the overall winning team and we had some very special Suffolk puff medals.
